Paul Nicholas

Born in Peterborough, Paul Nicholas is a multi-talented actor, singer, and producer whose career has spanned stage, screen, and music for more than five decades. He first found fame in the 1960s as a pop singer, enjoying chart success with hits like Reggae Like It Used To Be and Heaven On The 7th Floor. His early music career also included collaborations with legendary producer Robert Stigwood, paving the way for his breakthrough in musical theatre.

Nicholas became one of the West End’s leading men, starring in landmark productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, and Grease. His charisma and versatility then carried him into television, where he achieved household-name status in the 1980s BBC sitcom Just Good Friends, a role that won him a BAFTA. He also appeared in shows including Sunburn and EastEnders, as well as numerous pantomimes and touring productions across the UK.

In later years, Nicholas turned to producing, bringing large-scale musicals such as Grease and Saturday Night Fever to the stage for new audiences.
